Xibao Group always puts the "cultivation of original innovation" in the first place, and constantly seeks for new ideas and new development. Since 2003, it has not only built a state-certified enterprise technology center with high standards, participated in the formulation of 1 national standard, and presided over the formulation of 7 industry standards;we have also taken the lead in the industry in obtaining the certificate of laboratory accreditation from China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS), and possesses the qualification of dual accreditation of CNAS and CMA. The technology center covers an area of about 3000m², It has five departments under its jurisdiction: Comprehensive Office, Technical Research and Development Service Department, Testing Laboratory, Pilot Base, and Information Service Platform. There are more than 660 professional and technical personnel, with a total of 370 sets of testing instruments and equipments(sets), which are mainly engaged in the research and development of new products, new technologies and new processes of metallurgical functional materials, as well as market services and product testing.
Over the years, relying on its own scientific research advantages, the Technology Centre, in conjunction with China Baowu, Anshan Iron & Steel and other large steel enterprises in China,has successively undertaken key research topics on metallurgical protection materials in the field of high speed railway bearing steel, aircraft carrier deck steel, aerospace steel and other special steel, and has independently implemented such projects as slab ultra-low carbon protection slag, slab oriented non-oriented silicon steel protection slag, slab tin plate protection slag, round slab slab high aluminum steel protection slag, wide and thick plate pipeline steel protection slag, CSP medium and low carbon ultra-high drawing speed protection slag, CSP non-oriented silicon steel protection slag, ESP low carbon steel special protection slag, 300 series /400 series stainless steel protection slag and other topics. A total of 94 patent achievements and 5 copyright achievements were formed. Various types of slag products are successfully used in China-Russia East Natural Gas Pipeline welding and Udonde Hydropower Station, Baihetan Hydropower Station and other key national engineering core components manufacturing, Slab ultra-low carbon steel mold protection slag, CSP medium and low carbon ultra-high drawing speed protection slag, round slab high aluminum steel protection slag, tin plate protection slag and other products have also filled the gaps in the domestic industry, theriented silicon steel protection slag and DZR type electroslag remelting protection slag have contributed to the localization of high-end special steel materials. In addition, the Technology Centre has also developed products such as low carbon/medium carbon of Russia's North Steel, low carbon/medium carbon steel protection slag of Kazakhstan, and Malaysia's Union Steel protection slag, laying a solid foundation for the implementation of the Group's " Going Global" strategy.
Relying on its own scientific research advantages, the technology center has jointly undertaken key research topics in the field of high-speed rail bearing steel, aircraft carrier deck steel, aerospace steel and other special steel fields, contributing to the realization of the "localization" of high-end special steel materials, and laying a solid foundation for the implementation of the "going out" strategy of the Group company
